Multiplication Practice Made Easy!

Multiply your Fun!

This is a great way to practice, refresh and learn the multiplication facts over the summer. Learn the facts by singing fun songs together as a whole family! You can use a variety of tools for support – there are tons of these songs on YouTube as well.

These are my favorite versions because they are short, fun, catchy tunes that are condensed to the important stuff. Keep a cheat sheet of the songs and facts in your phone!

Participation is Key!

The most important part is that the whole family participates. Who couldn’t use a little brush up on their multiplication facts? If your child chooses not to sing along at first, that is ok. Listening to a song over and over can also help with learning.

Don’t be afraid that you will be exposed for not remembering your 7 facts. It is great for kids to see their parents struggling to learn. They will watch to see if you will work to improve, how you react to a mistake and how much effort you put into the game.

Get Creative!

Make this a fun moment. You can choose to sing at every red light while driving, while doing the dishes after supper, while walking to the park, before a meal, or anytime. Enjoy the mistakes but sing another round to get it right!

Start with one song at a time, get it really set in everyone’s memory then add a second song. What a great gift for the fall. You will give your child a happy memory that will be remembered with every multiplication equation throughout the school year!

The family that sings multiplication facts together, has a lot of fun learning together!

*If your child is old enough to sing, they can enjoy learning these facts along with other family members. You are never too young to start learning your multiplication facts!
